Terms of Service

Thank you for choosing Dee’s Green Cleaning to help with your cleaning needs. We are licensed, bonded, insured, and guarantee your satisfaction with our service. In order to provide the best services consistently, we must retain the best technicians, and we have compiled a list of service policies to help ensure both of those objectives are met.

Cleaning Products and Tools

Our team is equipped with just about everything required to clean your space effectively & in an eco-friendly way. All products used are plant based, bio-degradable, and concentrated when available. We also recycle and re-use as much as safely possible to help reduce the footprint of our service.  

We ask you please provide use of toilet brushes, and garbage bags if we are to empty your trash bin. Additionally, please provide any special product you prefer us to use except for bleach as we will not use it.

New Referral Program

We love and appreciate referrals! If you refer a new recurring client to us, we will give you BOTH a $25 credit towards your next cleaning visit after we have completed their first cleaning.

While it’s rare, sometimes things get missed and we absolutely want to make it right for you if it does! Please let us know within 24 hours of service so we can send a technician to fix it within one business day.

​Payment

We appreciate your business and want to make payment convenient so we gladly accept cash, check, PayPal, Venmo, or credit cards. 

We also ask you to please make your payment in full the day of service to avoid a late fee of $10 per day unless otherwise discussed with management.

​Non-Sufficient Funds

To maintain the efficiency of our services, a $30 fee will be charged and due immediately for any NSF payment. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Minimum Services

We require a $120 minimum to schedule cleaning services.

Gratuity

Gratuity is entirely optional and at your discretion; it is not expected or required but is a kind gesture for your cleaning technician. If you choose to leave a tip, cash is preferred, placed in an envelope or with a note (including the technician's name). Alternatively, you can add it on when paying via credit card through invoices or Venmo payments.

Estimates and Adjustments

The quotes provided are based on the information gathered during the initial assessment. If, upon arrival, the condition of your home is more challenging than initially assessed, we reserve the right to adjust the quote to account for the additional services required for the first visit. All future maintenance cleanings will also be based on the observed conditions of your home.

If more resources are needed to complete the cleaning than originally quoted, we will contact you by phone for authorization of the additional cleaning prior to beginning service.

Added Services

We are happy to provide additional services for an additional fee. Please let us know in advance so we can schedule accordingly. Our technicians are NOT authorized to change items on the work order so please contact the office for any change requests.

​Service Rates and Increases

Our service rates are in line with the other local, professional cleaning services.

Maintenance cleanings are a flat rate and are not reduced if you wish to have an area of your home skipped during your service.

Client’s cleaning rate adjustments may be made at any time during the year.

You will receive notification of this increase via email or phone with 30 days notice.

Regular Maintenance Cleaning Rescheduling Policy​

If you reschedule your service and are a bi-weekly or monthly client, we will resume your regular services on your previous schedule, NOT the new schedule from your rescheduled visit.

Cancellation Policy

We understand life happens and sometimes you need to cancel or reschedule. In order to protect the income of our team and company, and to avoid the inconvenience of a last minute reschedule, we ask you to please give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule services.

 If you need to cancel for convenience within the 24 hour window, we charge a $70 fee.

Additionally, a skipped or rescheduled visit sometimes means the following service will take a bit longer so we may need to either charge for extra time spent, or depending on our schedule for the day, skip over low priority tasks so we can stay on schedule. 

Last Minute/After Hours Cleaning Fee

We are happy to assist with a last minute cleaning if we can make space in our schedule for it, however, there is a $100 fee that will be added to your bill if you need to book a cleaning with less than 48 hours notice. Cleanings booked to begin after 5 pm or on a holiday will also receive a $100 fee.

Inclement weather

For the safety of our cleaners and others on the road, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule services due to unsafe travel conditions such as roads with heavy snow, ice, or rain. We will never charge a fee if your service gets cancelled or rescheduled due to the weather.

Heat sickness and fatigue can happen easily in high heat and humid conditions as cleaning is very physically taxing, so please keep your space no hotter than 75 degrees F when services are being performed. If you would like us to adjust your thermostat when we leave, please instruct us to do so.

It is your responsibility to remove any snow (over one inch) and ice from the driveway, walkway, and entry points to ensure safety for our technicians.

Locking

Please provide instructions on how we will enter your home if you are not there, and your preferences for locking your space. If unspecified, we will assume to lock all doors before we exit.

A $70 lockout fee will be charged if we are unable to enter a location to be cleaned due to being locked out. 

Pets

We love your furry friends and are happy to try to accommodate them while cleaning. This can be stressful for pets though, so if they are anxious or aggressive, we ask you please keep them in an area that isn’t being serviced, or take them with you. If we feel threatened by your pet, we will be unable to provide services and in some instances, charge a lockout fee. 

We will do our best to keep your pets inside while we enter and exit, but are not responsible if they escape so if this is a risk please let us know where we can keep them while coming in and out.

The addition of pets may affect your cleaning rate or our ability to complete all tasks as normal. We do not clean up pet waste in or outside the premises.

Children

To ensure quality and safety, please maintain the supervision of your children if they are home while services are being performed.

Waste Disposal

We are happy to take any garbage from the home to an outside dumpster or bin, however, we are unable to remove any waste from the premises.

Moving Items

For the safety of our team and for your items, we do not move any large furniture or appliances over 35 pounds. If you would like us to clean behind any large or heavy items, we ask that you have them moved prior to our arrival.

​Items We Cannot Clean

Mold removal is a specialty, we cannot be liable for any mold-related risks in clients’ homes.

We cannot clean any hazmat materials, infestations, hoarding homes, or areas containing any animals & humans' body fluids, blood, feces, vomit, cat litter boxes, bird cages & urine, or excretions.

Tidiness

We are here to help make your life easier, and will do our best to clean around or tidy things up if you’re unable to tidy before we arrive. If that is the case, please understand this may take away from our ability to complete all aspects of our job on time, so we may need to skip a low priority task to stay on schedule or charge extra for extra services.

If an area is more than 60% covered with your items, we will skip the area to respect your belongings and to stay on schedule.

Protecting Your Valuables

To prevent accidental damage, please secure valuables, fragile collectibles, and irreplaceable family heirlooms. These items should be placed in a cabinet or drawer, or we can note on your customized work order not to handle them.

At Dee’s Green Cleaning, we handle your belongings with care, but accidents can happen. If a breakage occurs, your cleaning technician will notify the office and leave a note for you. The office will then follow up with a phone call to discuss the best course of action.

Dee’s Green Cleaning is not liable for breakage resulting from normal wear and tear, age or weather deterioration, improper assembly, or improper construction or mounting (e.g., blinds, pictures, fan blades, light fixtures, etc.).

Please notify the office immediately if any items are broken or missing, and include a photo if possible.

Privacy

We prioritize your privacy and do not disclose your personal information with any third parties aside from those necessary to run our operations. 

We may, however, take photos to document and promote our work unless you have instructed us in writing you do not want us to do so. We will never share any photos which disclose your identity or where you are located.

Harassment

Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated and is grounds for termination of services.

Holidays

Holidays observed by our team where services will not be provided include New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. We will do our best to reschedule your cleaning if it falls on one of those days. Happy Holidays! 🙂
